Profile

Slade received her Registered Nurse diploma from Richmond Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She has experience in oncology, family practice and post-partum nursing. She is also a Certified Heath Care and Life Coach. She joined the University of Richmond Student Health Center in 2007. Slade is responsible for creation and development of our peer education group, the Wellness Education Bandits, whose members are committed to outreach and health promotion. She serves as the group’s advisor.

Born and raised in Richmond, Slade is married and has two children. Since retiring from her 20-year career as volunteer coach for a local field hockey team, she is currently working towards her BA in Liberal Arts from The University of Richmond. She enjoys taking pottery classes and spending time with her family and friends.
